The most important part of wine tasting is the shape of the wine glasses. Wine glasses create the balance of flavor needed to fully appreciate the tasting experience. A wine glass was made with the shape they have for very specific reasons.

Crystal wine glasses are made from glass that contains lead oxide. Lead oxide is added to the glass to increase the density. When the density is increased, the glass becomes shinier and more reflective. Crystal wine glasses often reflect a brilliant array of color.
