Both the Cabernet and Merlot are clearly present in this wine. There are dark blackcurrant and black olive notes from the Cabernet with the plummy, brambly Merlot flavours softening the blend. The palate is tight and firm with tannins and oak working well to make this a powerful wine, perfect for hearty winter dishes.
