The Wine Society

 Founded in 1874, The Wine Society is the world’s oldest wine club and was voted Decanter Wine Merchant of the Year in 2008.

The Society is unique in the wine trade because it is owned by and sells only to its members. Consequently, the buyers are not tasked with meeting specific selling prices and profit margins set by commercial priorities, but with finding high quality, interesting and value for money wines from around the world at all price levels. Member satisfaction is paramount; maximising profit is not.
